Attention All Coloodle Users

Policy change: if you register and contribute your account will be changed to a "contributor". If you register and do NOT contribute, you may use the system for a period of one month. Your account will then be removed.

Why the change? Coloodle was established to be a sharing place. Those that share stay. Those that don't, don't!

Changes in Accounts

Due to a security issue made public before the authors of Moodle could find resolutions to the issue(s), all accounts that have access levels of "Teacher" in any category or course have had the "backup" ability removed from the Admin menu of the course.

This means the backup file you create to share in your course has to be created on your local Moodle first and then made available in the course you upload to Coloodle.

If your Moodle uses "salted" users who download a shared backup of your course will have to be given a "salt key" in order for them to restore your shared course to their Moodle. That's a consideration for those of you who share.

While I generally "trust" teachers and fellow Moodlers, I think you can see why Coloodle has to take these measures.

Recently Added - CCL Safety on Internet & Digital Rights

Originally created to comply with TEA/Federal requirements for all schools in Texas (see the course description for specific references). When/IF TEA ask for specifics, you'll have some data to share.

Coloodle Moved!!!

Coloodle has a new home on moodle.tcea.org.

Move was necessitated by failing hardware on it's previous host.

The entire site was restored via SQL dump which (translated) means that some images might appear to be missing. The images are not missing, just mis-linked (the url for them is still pointed to the currently flakey sos.tcea.org server).

The fix is simple enough, those that have access rights to edit simply change the site of the image from the broken sos.tcea.org to moodle.tcea.org. Was saved, the item will magically re-appear!

Also, if a resource appears to render slowly, please see if the course is attempting to use a graphic from sos.tcea.org - shown in the status line of a Firefox browser. If you see one like that, please report.
